ContractPal uses technologies that you are already familiar with so learning how to use it to develop applications is easy. ContractPal leverages the power of HTML, JavaScript and XML. However, you don't have to be an expert in browser document object models to develop for ContractPal. ContractPal lets you leverage your strengths, the knowledge you have of your business processes. Moreover, ContractPal's JavaScript is limited to interacting with an easy-to-understand, object-oriented ESIGN application programming interface (API).
ContractPal has great development tools to help you complete your ESIGN projects quickly. ContractPal's development tools include an online Java WebStart integrated development environment or IDE. In addition, if you wish to use more traditional tools, ContractPal also supports an Eclipse plug-in.
ContractPal also features a lightning-fast development and test farm. The test farm features a number of high-end servers to speed your development and testing efforts. Still, the test farm, also known as the sandbox environment, runs separately from the much faster and bigger production environment to ensure that once your application is deployed, your transactions run without environmental hitches.
ContractPal has sample applications, or "Pals", that you can use to jump start your development efforts. These Pals, while of limited use, will help you understand Pals and how to build and test them.
